Hi, not been able to get on the site for a while.

We are so excited, we are taking our two boys to Disneyworld Florida in November!

Air pressure seems to affect my RA though, so does anyone have any experience of 8/9 hour flights! I have visions of not being able to walk off the plane lol.

I will also need to organise a letter from my GP for my insulin, but does anyone know if I have to get medical letter to cover RA meds too?

Thanks in advance

Pat

I flew to South Africa a year ago ... a twelve hour flight ... in the midst of a flare up and I have to say, I was not entirely comfortable and was certainly sore the next day. Having said that, I'd do it again.

If you are taking Humira or injectable Methotrexate, you will need to make special travel arrangements but for the rest of your RA meds (usually all in tablet form) you will have no problems.

Sounds like a fab holiday!!

Hi Pat,

Sounds fab, hope you all have a wonderful time. As far as the flight tho walk about plenty while on board and wear flight socks I have heard they help. The longest flight I have done is 4 hours but I am sure you will be ok. Enjoy Lorna xx ThumpUp

Hi pat gosh that dose sound lovely i envy you lol.
My husband keeps saying he will get the socks cause he always has to take his shoes off as his feet swell,
so i would suggest moving about a bit and also trying to relax, i know i hate how much little room we have on plains,
hope you enjoy love Txxx

Thanks folks. I suspect I'll have a bit of walking on the flight, trying to keep an 18 month old happy.

We must be mad!
